The Emergency Center
The Emergency Center (Beijing Emergency Center of Heart, Lung & Blood Vessel Diseases) at Anzhen Hospital is progressively introducing a higher standard of emergency care and management to the Chinese medical system. It is currently the largest emergency center for heart, lung, and blood vessel diseases in China. The facility is about 3000 square meters (approximately 32,300 square feet) and is equipped with advanced medical facilities such as CT, MRI, angiography, etc.The Emergency Center consists of 110 beds, multiple emergency observation rooms, and one of the earliest-established modern emergency ICUs in China.

The Emergency Center has established a nonstop passage (the so-called Green Channel) for the emergency care, first aid, monitoring, and treatment of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases. This center has treated an entire array severe emergency cases, particularly emergency thrombolysis treatment, intervention for acute myocardial infarction, intervention for pulmonary embolisms, dissection of aneurysms, and treatment of respiratory failure.
Emergency physicians have accumulated a deep well of experience allowing them to maintain a high success rate of 92% as they have worked to meet the international standards for quality emergency care.
